Hi, I’m C.C.

Here I am with some of my kids at our mini farm in CT.

I’m a birth doula and a writer with a BA from Georgetown University and an MFA in fiction from NYU. I’ve published a children’s book and am working on my first novel.

Thanks for visiting!

PRINCESS-PINECONE

Princess Pinecone and the Wee Royals was inspired by a story my mom used to tell me before bed. It aims to teach your little one the importance of empathy, forgiveness and kindness.

The book is a high-res facsimile of an entirely hand embroidered children's book– the only one of its kind! The original took my friend Irem Yazici more than 1,400 hours to stitch.

Available now on this website, Barnes & Noble, Anthropologie and a few select female owned and operated shops such as RAC, Land of Bebe and Over the Moon.

Proceeds from the book helped fund four (!) school kitchen gardens with Grow It Yourself, a social enterprise focused on food sustainability. All ongoing book profits are donated to The MOTHER LOVERS, a 501(c)3 non-profit that works to raise awareness about the maternal health crisis in the United States.

“This is a touching and original tale, illustrated beautifully with intricate embroidery.”

— Frances Hedges, Deputy Editor, Harper’s Bazaar, mother of Cassie
